How to prepare before your live stream
Checking Your Computer
Avoid last-minute software updatesReboot your computerClose open tabs and appsClear your computer memory. Parallels ToolboxPlug-in to ethernetTest your Internet (Speedtest.net). You need at least 5 Mbps
Checking Your Equipment
Check your camera. Is it at the right height and angle?Check your audio levels. Look for audio clipping or a slow Internet connectionSecure any loose cablesRun a test stream. Facebook Live to only you. Instagram Stories, Facebook Stories, and so on.Clean-up your backgroundRemove devices from your InternetDisable any cloud-based software, such as Dropbox or Google DriveTurn off interruptions such as alarms, phones, etc Put your computer into ‘do not disturb’ modeSend notes to guests beforehandRun an equipment check with guests, 15 minutes before each live videoNotify your house guestsNotes. Are they ready and accessible?Warm up beforehand. Check your posture and do a 1 minute vocal warm upVerify your destinationsHandle your business beforehand.
